Education & Career Transition
I completed my MBBS from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, one of India's leading medical institutions. My time in medicine shaped my understanding of discipline, ethics, and the importance of listening to people's stories, not just their symptoms.
Over time, I began to feel that many of the issues I was encountering had roots beyond the hospital: in systems, governance, and institutions. This led me to a deeper realisation: meaningful societal healing often requires work at the level of policy and public administration.
Driven by this purpose, I prepared for and cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination twice, eventually joining the Indian Police Service (IPS). For me, this was not a rejection of medicine, but an extension of the same value: service to people, now at a broader scale.
मैंने अपनी एमबीबीएस (MBBS) की पढ़ाई भारत के अग्रणी चिकित्सा संस्थानों में से एक, बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय (BHU), वाराणसी से पूरी की। चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में बिताए उन वर्षों ने मुझे अनुशासन, नैतिकता और सबसे बढ़कर लोगों को ध्यान से सुनना सिखाया—सिर्फ उनके लक्षणों को नहीं, बल्कि उनकी पीड़ा, उनके भय और उनके जीवन को समझना।
समय के साथ यह स्पष्ट होने लगा कि जिन समस्याओं का सामना मैं अस्पताल में कर रहा था, उनकी जड़ें अक्सर अस्पताल के बाहर थीं—व्यवस्थाओं, नीतियों और संस्थागत सीमाओं में। तब यह अनुभूति गहरी होती गई कि कई बार वास्तविक और टिकाऊ उपचार व्यक्तिगत इलाज से आगे जाकर शासन और सार्वजनिक व्यवस्था के स्तर पर काम करने से ही संभव होता है।
इसी सोच ने मुझे यूपीएससी सिविल सेवा परीक्षा की तैयारी की ओर प्रेरित किया। दो बार इस परीक्षा को उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद मैं भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (IPS) में सम्मिलित हुआ। मेरे लिए यह चिकित्सा क्षेत्र से दूर जाना नहीं था, बल्कि उसी सेवा-भाव का विस्तार था—लोगों की सेवा, अब एक व्यापक सामाजिक स्तर पर।

District Policing
I have served in various jurisdictions as District Superintendent of Police (SP) or Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), striving to maintain law and order, prevent crime, and establish positive community engagement, which effort continues and will continue.
मैं विभिन्न अधिकार क्षेत्रों में जिला पुलिस अधीक्षक (SP) अथवा पुलिस उपायुक्त (DCP) के रूप में सेवा देकर कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने, अपराध रोकने और समुदाय के साथ सकारात्मक सहभागिता स्थापित करने का प्रयास करता रहा हूँ, जो प्रयास निरंतर जारी है और जारी रहेगा।

Cyber-Enabled Crime
I have led the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and supervised investigations into financial fraud and technology-based crimes, where my main effort has been to maintain transparency and bring criminals behind bars while respecting all legal processes (due process).
मैंने आर्थिक अपराध शाखा (EOW) का नेतृत्व किया है और वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी तथा तकनीक-आधारित अपराधों की जांच का पर्यवेक्षण करता रहा हूँ, जहाँ मेरा मुख्य प्रयास पारदर्शिता बनाए रखने और सभी कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं (due process) का सम्मान करते हुए अपराधियों को सलाखों के पीछे पहुंचाना रहा है।

Data-Driven Policing
I have been continuously working on technology and data-driven policing. I have been trying to strengthen digital policing practices and cyber awareness. I am continuously working towards ensuring better prediction, prevention and quick action by incorporating AI and data analytics into policing workflows.
मैं तकनीक और डेटा-संचालित पुलिसिंग पर लगातार काम करता रहा हूँ। डिजिटल पुलिसिंग प्रथाओं और साइबर जागरूकता को मजबूत करने का प्रयास करता रहा हूँ। पुलिसिंग कार्यप्रवाह में एआई (AI) और डेटा एनालिटिक्स को शामिल करके बेहतर पूर्वानुमान, रोकथाम और त्वरित कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करने की दिशा में लगातार काम कर रहा हूँ।
In each role, I pay special attention to clarity of process, accuracy in execution of work, solving citizens' problems and accessibility of services for them. I believe that the police system should be understandable, responsive and fair for citizens.
प्रत्येक भूमिका में, मैं प्रक्रिया की स्पष्टता, कार्यों के निष्पादन की सटीकता, नागरिकों की समस्याओं को दूर करने और उनके लिए सेवाओं की सुलभता पर विशेष ध्यान देता हूँ। मेरा मानना है कि पुलिस व्यवस्था नागरिकों के लिए समझने योग्य, उत्तरदायी और निष्पक्ष होनी चाहिए।
Medico-Legal Contribution
My background as a doctor and my experience as a police officer give me a unique vantage point at the intersection of medicine, law, and justice.
I am part of a team preparing a medico-legal reference manual for Haryana, aimed at strengthening the interface between healthcare professionals and investigative agencies. The goal is to help ensure that medical evidence is handled with clarity and consistency, improving both fairness in investigation and outcomes at trial.
My work in this area is guided by a simple belief: strong medico-legal systems protect both victims and the integrity of justice.
एक डॉक्टर के रूप में मेरी पृष्ठभूमि और पुलिस अधिकारी के रूप में अनुभव ने मुझे चिकित्सा, कानून और न्याय के संगम को समझने का एक अनूठा दृष्टिकोण दिया है।
मैं हरियाणा के लिए तैयार हो रही 'मेडिको-लीगल संदर्भ नियमावली' (medico-legal reference manual) की टीम का हिस्सा हूँ, जिसका उद्देश्य चिकित्सक, मेडिको-लीगल विशेषज्ञों और जांच एजेंसियों के बीच बेहतर समन्वय स्थापित करना है। मेरा प्रयास यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि चिकित्सकीय साक्ष्यों (medical evidence) का संग्रह और प्रबंधन स्पष्ट, व्यवस्थित और निष्पक्ष तरीके से हो, ताकि जांच और अदालती सुनवाई में न्याय सुनिश्चित हो सके।
